EMEX is an online electricity broker based in Texas. We help businesses find the best electricity rates in their area.
We're got some interesting and time-sensitive projects in the pipeline, and need a few developers to help with the push. We are looking for full-time contract developers who can commit to a specific timeframe of availability.
The EMEX development team is fully remote, and we collaborate using Pivotal Tracker, IM and Skype. We prefer to work with developers who have shown the ability to thrive on a distributed team.
This is a great opportunity to help shape the architecture of real, profitable, growing site. If you like jobs where you have a role in figuring out *what* needs to be built, in addition to building it, you'd probably enjoy this.
What you'll be doing:
* Interacting with team lead and business principals to design & implement new features
* Re-architecting existing functionality
* Integration with 3rd-party web services
* Extending our test suite
If you're interested, please send us these four things:
1) Resume
2) Pointers to projects you've worked on recently, along with a summary of your role
3) Code sample(s)
4) Your hourly rate
(Individual developers who can work on a 1099 basis only, please. We can't respond to agency inquiries.) (telecommute)
