Local Christian nonprofit organization looking for seasoned RoR Programmer who wants to make a difference in orphaned and destitute children\u2019s lives. Will consider both those interested in serving on-site at our Silverdale campus or remotely. PLEASE only those with intermediate to advanced Ruby on Rails experience need apply, as this is a prerequisite.
You will be responsible for new functionality, testing and integrating code contributed by freelancers and volunteers, as well as bug fixes and updates.
We are a Christian nonprofit missionary organization, so pay is considered below fair market value for this field.

Responsibilities:
\u2022 Integrating code contributed by freelancers and volunteers
\u2022 Developing new application components as well as refactoring, spec\u2019ing, and refining the current code base
\u2022 Documenting and testing additions to the code base
\u2022 Short frequent, iterative releases
\u2022 Deploying releases to the server
\u2022 Server administration
Required:
\u2022 Dedication to test driven development
\u2022 Demonstrated Ruby on Rails experience
\u2022 Experience with Linux command-line and server administration
\u2022 Relational database skills \u2013 MySQL, Rails-style structure
\u2022 Experience with Git (GitHub) or other version-control system
Desirable:
\u2022 Experience with RSpec
\u2022 Experience with Mac OS X
\u2022 Strong web skills (construction, not design) \u2013 HTML/CSS/JavaScript
