Your job will be instrumental in helping nonprofits raise money and in assisting existing and potential donors to make a difference through giving.</p>\n<p>You will be successful at Razoo by:</p>\n<ul>\n\t<li>Designing and writing high performance, elegant, and reliable code for both the frontend/UI and back-end of our web platform</li>\n\t<li>Problem solving and having the intellectual curiosity to find technical solutions that are the quickest and easiest to build, yet also the most robust</li>\n\t<li>Keeping up-to-date on the latest web tools and apps, and integrating with their APIs</li>\n\t<li>Working collaboratively with a team of developers, business personnel, and creative designers</li>\n\t<li>Working cross-functionally in software development (i.e. full Rails stack), but bringing particular strength in Rails best-practices</li>\n\t<li>Taking the initiative to improve development, testing, measurement and deployment processes</li>\n\t<li>Possessing the drive to consistently deliver results, being disciplined to work on your own with light supervision</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Required skills:</p>\n<ul>\n\t<li>Excellent problem solving skills</li>\n\t<li>8+ years web software development experience</li>\n\t<li>5+ years <span class=\"caps\">MVC</span> web framework experience</li>\n\t<li>1+ years Ruby on Rails experience</li>\n\t<li>Solid background in dynamic object oriented languages (Ruby, Python, etc)</li>\n\t<li><span class=\"caps\">SQL</span>, database design, and query optimization</li>\n\t<li>OO Design, <span class=\"caps\">MVC</span> architecture, unit/acceptance testing, and refactoring</li>\n\t<li>Agile development processes and good track record of teamwork</li>\n\t<li>Subversion and/or other version control systems</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Desired skills:</p>\n<ul>\n\t<li>Linux scripting and basic administration (Apache, Postfix, etc)</li>\n\t<li>JavaScript, <span class=\"caps\">XHTML</span>, <span class=\"caps\">CSS</span>, <span class=\"caps\">AJAX</span></li>\n\t<li>3rd party <span class=\"caps\">API</span> integration (<span class=\"caps\">SOAP</span>, <span class=\"caps\">REST</span>, etc)</li>\n\t<li>Web and database scalability and optimization</li>\n\t<li>RESTful <span class=\"caps\">API</span> design and implementation</li>\n\t<li>Experience researching new technologies</li>\n\t<li>Experience building personal web apps and side projects as hobbies</li>\n</ul>\n<p>To view similar other jobs, please click on the above mentioned <span class=\"caps\">URL</span>.</p>\n\n\n<p><strong>To apply:</strong> To apply: email <a>serve@razoo.com</a></p>","company_id":194,"admin2":null,"published_at":"2009-10-20T18:58:53-07:00","link":"http://jobs.37signals.com/jobs/5720","admin3":null,"location_name":null,"geom":null,"feed_url_id":6,"active":true}}
